MUMBAI : Two enduring dramas on Zee TV, Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya, are being aired at a time when many daily soap operas have concluded in less than six months. Almost 2000 episodes of a show is a difficult thing to manage.
Zee TV and Ekta Kapoor started the Kumkum Bhagya spin-off after the show's success. The risk paid off, as Kundali Bhagya became the audience favorite and frequently overcame Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to secure the top slot at 9:30 p.m.
Shraddha Arya and Dheeraj Dhoopar were the main performers when the show debuted. Following Dheeraj's exit from Kundali Bhagya, Shakti Arora joined the show. Following a leap that caused the Zee TV show to go on track change, Shakti Anand took Arora's place. In line with the pattern of Hindi TV shows making generational leaps, Kundali Bhagya debuted in 2023 with a fresh cast and a time jump.
After the leap track was integrated into the plot, actors including Sana Sayyad, Paras Kalnawat, and Baseer Ali joined the cast. To heighten the tension, several shows, including Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Imlie, Pandya Store, Udaariyaan, and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, took a risk.
If the rumours circulating recently are accurate, Shraddha Arya may say goodbye to Kundali Bhagya. Her exit from the popular Zee TV show has long been the subject of rumors. After a portal revealed that the TV diva would leave her program after seven years of portraying Preeta, the rumours picked up speed once again. It's interesting to note that next month marks Kundali Bhagya's seventh prosperous year.
A story on the well-known news page suggests that Shraddha Arya may leave Kundali Bhagya because of medical issues. About the rumors, neither the actress nor the channel has said anything. Recently, while recovering from an illness, she shot from her house. We hope Shraddha dispels the rumours around her.
