MUMBAI : Television actor Raj Kr says that the television industry has its own struggles similar to the Bollywood film industry. Raj who has been part of a number of TV shows such as Crime Alert, Zindagi Ki Mehek feels luck is more important to survive here.
He says, "I used to be told by people here that the TV industry is easy. Actors here don't struggle much compared to Bollywood. But I have experienced the TV industry is equally challenging compared to the film industry. We have our own struggles. Here everything is about luck. If you have luck you'll find success. But else not even your hard work or talent works."
Asked the kind of challenges one faces in the TV industry. He feels, "For us there are many challenges. We need to be fit and maintain our looks. We need to give a number of auditions. We need to fight with high expenses for everything in Mumbai. We don't have any permanent employment. We are victims of favouritism and much more. Here requirements are decreasing but people with dreams to become an actor are increasing. So the competition is high in itself."

The actor was earlier signed to play the mythological character of Nakul one of the youngest brothers of Pandavas in the TV show Paramavatar Shri Krishna but the show went off only after he shot the promo. He revealed, "After being approached for such a great and one of the most loved mythological shows. I was feeling all blessed but my luck didn't favour me even before our shoot started the show went off air. We shoot only for the promo. Still I'm trying my luck ahead with some positive hopes."
