Janmashtami is a festival that is celebrated on the birth of Lord Krishna. For decades now, we Indians have been celebrating this festival since it is one of the most joyous occasions of our country. Over the years, Bollywood has been capturing this festival in various movies. However, even television has started the trend of weaving festivals in their storyline. Hence on this festive occasion this year, we get you the list of TV shows celebrating Janmashtami. Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta is one show that has already celebrated Janmashtami. The celebration took place almost two weeks ago. This special show had Riteish Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor on the sets to promote their film Kya Super Kool Hai Hum. Apart from this, the channel’s Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein too will have a Janmashtami celebration. However, the team will be shooting the episode tomorrow (11 August). Parvarrish will be the only show on Sony to celebrate this festival, while the topmost show on SAB TV, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah will celebrate the festival on Wednesday (15 August 2012). On the other hand, Star Plus’ shows like Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? and Saath Nibhana Saathiya will be seen celebrating Janmashtami tonight. There is also buzz that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will celebrate Janmashtami in the coming days. As reported earlier in the day, Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha too will be seen celebrating Janmashtami on Colors. Don’t miss to watch these special episodes.
