Makrand Deshpande tipped to enter Ladies Special

There will be a new entry in Sony Entertainment Television’s Ladies Special. The show that boasts of some power-packed performers will have an added attraction in the form of veteran Makrand Deshpande who would essay the character of a lawyer who would defend Geeti Shinde (Nanda’s daughter) in the court. The girl is being accused of the murder of her male friend who tries to rape her. Informs a source, “Yes, we have approached Makrand Deshpande and are keen to have him on-board. Currently there are no other names that we are contemplating on but one never knows as we develop the character. We would decide on the name in a week’s time and would then commence the shoot of that sequence.” Talking about the character, our source says, “This is a very interesting character whose first impression is that of a cynic with an unkempt look. But in the end one finds out that underneath all this is an intelligent and sensitive man.” All attempts to reach Makrand were futile. Interestingly, this is not the first time the actor will play a lawyer. He was earlier seen defending Mihir and Karan Virani in Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi. The actor also debuted on the big screen as a lawyer in RGV’s Satya.
