Master Chef tipped to launch in October

Star Plus’ most touted Master Chef is tipped to launch in October. The auditions for the show have already begun and the channel is all set to launch it at prime time. Rajiv Laxman of Roadies fame is the creative head of the show. A reliable source from the show says, “The show is going to start in October and Akshay Kumar has been actively involved in the making. The first dish the contestants will be asked to make is ‘Khiladi sizzler’ keeping the ‘Khiladi’ in mind.” We spoke to Ajit Andhare of Coloseum Pvt Ltd (the producer), who says, “The format is new food reality which has never been attempted in India. Globally it is quite a successful format and we are opening up new vistas with Master Chef. It is the next step in programming. The format however will have to be Indianised to suit the Indian audiences and their eating habits.”
