MUMBAI: Actors complaining about non-payment and delay in their salaries is something which we often read in the papers. While some go on to make headlines and get noticed, there are many which do not even go under the scanner.

Nevertheless, the latest information which has hit the headlines is the claims of actress Meera Deosthale, who has claimed that her dues from producer of the show Vidya, have not been cleared. She has mentioned that Mahesh Pandey promised clearance of dues by getting signatures of the cast in exchange of post dated cheques. According to the actress, Mahesh Pandey claimed that the channel would release their payments only if they signed the dotted line.

Meera said, “Apparently the channel has released the payments. Mahesh Pandey claims that he intends to clear the dues but he has not and it has been a very long time. It is my hard earned income and is not a small amount. I have all his post dated cheques which have not been cleared from his end. It is a shame that he says that he has paid my dues.

I have an F.I.R registered against him along with other members of the cast who have not received their salaries. Do you think the police would lodge a complaint and it would be on-going if he cleared our dues?”

Here are some of the proofs we gathered from Meera:
