Meet the 'award winning' entrepreneur-actor Pawan Shankar

Pawan Shankar

Our readers might recall Pawan Shankar as a seasoned actor for playing few memorable roles in shows like Siddhanth, Kasamh Se, Kya Huaa Tera Vaada and more.

Not known to many, Pawan is also a successful entrepreneur. Proprietor of two ventures, namely, Fashionista Fashion & Lifestyle Exhibitions and Educationista Exhibitions.

And Shankar has recently won the Bharat Excellence Award 2016 for contribution in Education sector and his firm Educationista got Indian Excellence Award 2016 for fastest growing exhibition company of India in education sector.

To congratulate Shankar, recently, we got in touch with him. The ever humbled man believes that most of the films contribute to educate the masses. “In order to make an educational film we don’t need a topic to be essentially related with education. Most of the films in their own way provide the lesson of what is right and what is wrong. I would say even that is one learning experience for audiences.”

So, Pawan, being associated with the education sector what are the improvements that is needed you feel? “Well initiatives like mid-day meal and growing concern over creating wash rooms for girls are really welcoming. Such methods initiated by our government are proving to be fruitful. Many of the known personalities from our country has received their basic education from government schools, hence it is indeed important to pay attention to the development of education sector.”

Pawan continues, “Many individuals are there, who have taken the initiative to educate the kids, who lives in the street of Mumbai and Delhi. I really appreciate them. At the same time I feel that the improvement what hristian missionaries once did in our country can be repeated once more by the Hindu missionaries as well. Religious communities I believe should take more initiative to spread awareness about eduction.’

We completely understand your concern Pawan.

Before signing off we ask the intelligent man about his take on reservation policy and Pawan quips, “I believe there should be enough schools and colleges for every single child in India so that no such policy is needed. Actually, when reservation system was announced then it was needed to bring few backward communities into the fold of mainstream, but the process can’t go on for a lifetime. It has to be changed.”

We are hopeful Pawan that the education sector in India will shine someday.
