Lot of drama unfolded when the makers of Uttaran (FilmFarm Productions) decided to infuse a plot wherein the show took a leap of 18 years. Prominent actors in the serial, namely Rashmi Desai (Tapasya) and Nandish Sandhu (Veer), decided to opt out and their stints have now come to an end. Post leap (which aired on 26 March 2012), the plot is seen revolving around Tapasya’s and Ichcha’s daughters, Mukta (Sreejita De) and Meethi respectively. Now, Tina, is playing a double role and is seen as both, Ichcha and Meethi.
Meethi has a pretty sleek and trendy look in the show. And guess what? Tina herself has conceptualized and designed the look. And on analyzing closely, one can observe that it is inspired from that of Kareena Kapoor’s in the movie Kurbaan.
“I wanted to have an ethnic look like Kareena, hence I contacted my personal designer, Palak Arora. Palak has been designing for shows, events, award functions and actors for over nine years now. I asked her if she could work on the Kurbaan look for me. She said yes and got on with it. And I must add she has done a great job. Even my production house and channel approved the look,” shared Tina with Tellychakkar.com.
We also got in touch with Palak and she said, “I have been Tina’s personal designer for quite some time now and when she told me about the Kurbaan look, I found it very interesting. Luckily, the channel also liked it. But I just designed the look, Tina did all the shopping.”
“I shopped at different shops in Lokhandwala (Mumbai) and at many shopping malls. Trust me, I had great fun,” smiled Tina.
So what about her old look of Iccha? “Ichcha’s look was completely designed by the channel. And I think Iccha is beautiful. She is simple and just puts mascara, not even lipstick.”
And she ended by stating that both the looks, of Ichcha’s and Meethi’s, are close to her heart and she loves playing both.
Tina, we hope you rock in your double avatar!!!
