MUMBAI: Colors is bringing the evergreen love saga of Salim and Anarkali on television in a show titled Daastan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali. Apparently, Shaheer Sheikh has been roped in to play the lead role of Salim in the show.
Reliable sources have informed TellyChakkar that Meherzan Mazda of Dhai Kilo Prem fame has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the show.
It is produced by Writers' Galaxy, and the makers are not leaving any stone unturned to recreate the eternal love story of iconic couple Salim and Anarkali.

Meherzan was last seen in Kaisi Yeh Yaariyaan Season 3 and also gained popularity with Nisha Aur Uske Cousins.
Meherzan confirmed the news and shared, "Yes, I am doing the show. I will play a very important cameo. I am excited to be part of the show as this will be my first historical stint on TV."
