Mehul Nisar and Ritu Vasishtha join the cast of MTV's Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan

Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan, produced by BBC Worldwide Entertainment for MTV promises to entertain youth audiences in a brand new way. The story about the coming of age of the protagonists in a college setup will launch on 21 July. Joining the star cast of the show will be noted actor Mehul Nisar (last seen in Rajshri Productions’ Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli) and Ritu Vasishtha (Do Dil Ek Jaan). Mehul will be seen essaying the role of an uncle to one of the protagonists, Niti Taylor. Niti will essay the character of Nandini Moorthy, a South Indian girl who will be brought up by her uncle post the death of her parents. Nandini would move from her hometown to Mumbai to join the institute. Her uncle, essayed by Mehul would be a nice person from within, but would be totally money-minded and a miser. His track will have subtle comedy. Mehul, who essayed the role of Veer Bhaiyya in Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, was on a hiatus from acting for the past two years. The actor who started his career 15 years back with Hip Hip Hurray has had a good body of work with shows like Tumhari Disha, Dekho Magar Pyaar Se, Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki, Mata Ki Chowki in his kitty. When contacted, Mehul confirmed the news and said, “Owing to personal reasons, I was on a break for two years, post my stint in Yahaan. With this show, I am back to acting.” On the other hand, Ritu will be seen as Mehul’s character’s wife in the show. She will also play an important role in plot progression. Said Ritu: “Yes, I am part of the project but can’t divulge much on my character at this point of time.” We wish both all the luck and success.
