Mihir Mishra who rose to fame as Dr. Rahul of Sanjiveeni is now trying his talent in a different genre. After playing the boy next door, the handsome Mihir is trying his hand at comedy with a weekly show, Jamegi Jodi.com on 9X."The reason for taking up this show is that I wanted to try my hand at comedy. The concept is good and I'm looking forward for the feedback from the audience," says Mihir.
Elaborating on his role he says, "I play the role of Angad, a NRI who has launched a website called jamegi jodi.com. His office is directly opposite Savita's marriage bureau. They meet and the story takes another turn. Each episode has a different tale to say. It's a situational comedy with a lot of humour in it."
Are there any similarities between Angad and Mihir?
"We both have a good sense of humour but I'm more expressive than Angad is," he quips.
Before this you did a cameo in Zaara on Sahara One. "It was a small role of a doctor which is over now. It was completely different from what I played in Sanjiveeni. This was more of a serious person."
It's also heard that you are also doing a show Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa on Zee next which again is a weekly. Why aren't you opting for a daily?
"I'm not against a daily but I don't receive good offers so I'll do what ever comes my way. Currently it will be too early to spill the beans on my new venture with Zee Next but soon you'll come to know about it," he informs.
Let's get ready for a good laugh with Mihir's new comedy.
