MUMBAI: Could nostalgia be making a grand return to our TV screens? Buzz is that Mouni Roy, who rose to fame with her portrayal of Krishna Tulsi in the original Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, might be making a surprise cameo in the upcoming second season of the iconic show.
While there has been no official confirmation yet, a source close to the production hinted, "Ektaa Kapoor shares a very special bond with Mouni. Given how pivotal the role of Krishna Tulsi was in Mouni’s career, there have been talks of bringing her back in a unique capacity, perhaps as a symbolic bridge between the two seasons."
Fans will remember the immense popularity of Mouni’s character and her on-screen chemistry with Pulkit Samrat, who played Lakshya. The duo became one of the most adored jodis of Indian television in the mid-2000s.
Mouni, now a successful Bollywood actress and style icon, has often spoken about her gratitude toward the show and producer Ektaa Kapoor for shaping her early career. If the rumors are true, her return could be a heartfelt nod to the journey that began with Kyunki….
The second season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi which airs on Star Plus from July 29 at 10:30 pm daily, has already stirred excitement with its announcement, and a cameo by Mouni Roy would only elevate the nostalgia and anticipation. Whether she graces the screen for a flashback, a dream sequence, or a surprise twist remains to be seen but one thing is certain: fans would love to see Krishna Tulsi return, even if just for a moment.
