Phew there is yet another one. Nothing new, nothing different. Only a different channel. Viewers brace yourselves as yet one more reality show invades your living room. Under the umbrella of Sitaare Zameen Par a show that is called Mr. and Miss Television will have celebs competing with each other. So what’s new? Wasn’t there a similar show called Say Shaava Shaava on NDTV Imagine, just a while ago?

Phew there is yet another one. Nothing new, nothing different. Only a different channel. Viewers brace yourselves as yet one more reality show invades your living room. “This is not just a singing, acting and dancing but there are many stages like stand- up acts, etc which makes the show stand apart from other realities shows. The show will mark the presence of the most versatile actor and actress of television,” says Albert Almedia, Executive VP & Business Head, Sony Entertainment Television.
This is going to be a dance cum singing cum acting show. The participants list includes Kushal Punjabi, Sanjeet Bedi, Manoj Bora, Chetan Hansraj, Karan Vahi and Swapnil Joshi. The female line-up consists of Shilpa Saklani, Aashka Goradia, Priyanka Bassi, Jasver Kaur, Purbi Joshi and Nausheen Ali Sardar. These actors will compete with each other for the title of Mr. and Miss Television.
Madhur Bhandarkar and Sonali Bendre will judge these contestants with a celebrity guest every day on the show,” says Mr Almedia. The hosts of the show are still under wrap.
The show will be starting from 24 March and will have just nine episodes from Monday to Friday at 10pm.
We know that this is going to be the year of reality shows, but do spare us the ‘repeats’.
