MUMBAI: Colors is rolling out a new mythological show titled Shrimad Bhagavad, produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, which will focus on Radha and Krishna and unveil the story post-Mahabharat.
It will be a 52-episode show and air on Sundays for an hour, with each story leading a question and explained by Radha and Krishna.
As per reports, actors Ishita Ganguly, Indraneil Sengupta, Rajneesh Duggal, Suchit Vikram Singh, Ayaz Khan, Chandan Anand, Vijay Badani, Yogesh Mahajan, Nakul Ghaneka, Anshul Bammi, and Waseem Mushtaq have already been roped in to play character roles. Now joining the bandwagon is actor Ashish Kaul, who was recently seen in Colors’ Roop and Star Bharat’s show Muskaan.
Ashish will play the role of Prahlad in Shrimad Bhagavad.

For the uninitiated, Prahlad was known for his generosity and kindness and was devoted to Lord Vishnu. He sowed similar seeds in his son Virochana and grandson Mahabali. The story will present the time Vishnu descended in the Vamana avatar to restore the authority of Indra over the heavens, as it had been taken over by benevolent asura king Mahabali.
