Amid the Friends reunion creating a buzz, Khichdi reunion's poster also makes way on social media.

MUMBAI: The much-awaited of American sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S is all set to happen and the fans all over the globe can't keep calm. The reunion episode will exclusively stream on 27th May.

While F.R.I.E.N.D.S is popular worldwide, India too has many popular sitcoms which are the viewers' all-time favourite. Khichdi being one of them.

On the heels of the special episode, Khichdi's producer JD Majethia dropped a major surprise for the fans by sharing an edited picture of his show’s cast on Friends: The Reunion poster. He also said that this would be the perfect Indian reunion!!

The official poster of the popular features the main star cast of the show which includes David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Matt Le Blanc, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow.

The ace producer and actor JD shared the picture of Khichdi movie gang — Anang Desai, Vandana Pathak, Supriya Patak, Kirti Kulhari, Rajeev Mehta and his own face superimposed on Friends stars.

He captioned the post in his character Himanshu style and wrote, “Ae baapu, aisa reunion manaenge, aisa reunion manaenge ke lage hee nai ki reunion manaya!!. This would be the perfect Indian reunion!! What say?. #friends #reunion #memories with this #show #khichdi.”

Popular TV actor Gautam Rode could not stop laughing at the hilarious post as he replied with multiple emojis.

However, fans agreed to the idea as one of his followers wrote, “Please Please please do it.” Another fan also had a far more ambitious wish as he suggested JD to include the Sarabhai cast in the reunion episode. “Yes pls …. Let’s go for another Khichdi and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai cross over… Kisiko pata nahi chalega…,” he wrote.

Khichdi launched in 2002 on Star Plus and came back with a new season three years later. In 2018, the sitcom returned with a new season but could not recreate the magic of the original. The makers also launched Khichdi: The Movie in 2010, which is the first film in Hindi cinema to be based on a TV show.
