MUMBAI: Renee Dhyani is known to be bindaas, hardworking and fun-loving actress. She started her career with Roadies and featured in various popular shows like Kasam, Yeh Teri Galliyan and many more.
In a chat with TellyChakkar Renee spoke about the kind of work she looks forward to doing in the near future, she shared, “I think television actor's choices are limited to 18 years, after that you get older characters to play. Also, I've become very particular while selecting my roles now after I was nominated for Filmfare. So, I'm looking for different non-mainstream roles.”

What is your take on television shows with respect to actors? “Currently there's no original content available on television, it's very predictable and repetitive. Also, female lead actresses have to be between 20-25 whereas actors can be 40+ which is very wrong. There are also payment issues in television space and if we raise our voices then we get boycotted.”
Are you happy with your journey so far? “I think within the past 6 years I've done top reality and television shows alongside fantastic actors and actresses. I'm very content in my life and have no regrets. Being an outsider, when you crack your own roles and taking up new challenges isn't easy. Facing rejections is also not easy, during lockdown I lost two offers because I lost weight. But overall, I feel very content with my journey so far, even though it wasn't easy.
What is your dream role? “I would love to play roles like Gangubai. I want someone to make a remake of Gangs of Wasseypur but with an all female cast. Basically, I would love to play the Bandit Queen or Gangubai kind of role.”
Good luck Renee!
