Indian netizens are fighting another battle - ban TikTok in India.
#BanTikToklnlndia has been heavily treading on Twitter. Tiktok star Faizal Siddiqui's account has been suspended after facing massive criticism and was accused of glorifying acid attack.
Along with common people, a lot of celebrities have expressed their views on banning the app.
Scared Games fame Kubbra Sait tweeted, “I can’t even get myself to repost the murky content of @TikTok_IN that is floating on @TwitterIndia. The minds of the kids making these videos are sick. From abuse towards women to animals this platform is growing ever so toxic & needs to have repercussions. Ban this application.”
Ishqbaaz fame Nakuul Mehta replied to her tweet that banning is not a solution but work on the root cause.
Take a look at his tweet:
Not sure if banning anything is ever a solution. We are only suppressing things we rather not see which in due course will find another outlet. What can be done is work on the root cause.. Fight sexism, patriachy & use our lives & work we do to further a value based society. https://t.co/KoEIC0hn7r
