It is the wedding season and the latest celebrity to get married is Naveen Saini who essays the role of the doting brother in Bidaai . The actor has finally tied the knot with his sweetheart, Priyanka Srivastava after a courtship of seven years. The couple got married on 1 December, 2008 as per North Indian rituals. Ironically, Naveen was introduced to Priyanka on the sets of Talaaq Kyun , by her sister Upma who was acting with him in the show. Priyanka too is an actress who was last seen in Star Plus’ Grihasthi . Talking about the marriage, the actor informs, “We got married in Delhi on 1 December and till 29th of November I was shooting so one can understand the amount of time I got to do the preparations. I was back on 7 December and started shooting the same day.” Recalling his first encounter with Priyanka, Naveen says, “It was love at first sight for me. I had always thought that I wouldn’t marry someone who is from the same industry but Priyanka was different. Being Miss India Catwalk Queen 2002, she is still very Indian at heart and a family oriented girl but strong headed. We got engaged on 24th February this year.” The actor has not yet decided on his honeymoon plans due to the hectic shooting schedule. He informs, “We have decided that I will finish my work as there is an important track going on in Bidaai which focuses on Ragini’s wedding. We are planning to go for our honeymoon once the shooting for the same gets over.” We wish the newly wed couple the very best.
