’’Navratri is the awakening of energy — it sets the vibration for the festive season ahead”: Pranitaa Pandit

MUMBAI: The festive season has officially begun, and actress Pranitaa Pandit—known for her roles in Kasauti Zindagi Kay, Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki, Jamai Raja, and Kavach—shares her reflections on what makes this time of year so special. For her, festivals go beyond rituals and decorations; they are about energy, connection, and renewal.

“Navratri, for me, is not just the beginning of festivities but the awakening of energy. It’s nine nights dedicated to the divine feminine, reminding us that creation begins with Shakti. When you start the season with that vibration of strength, purity, and celebration, it naturally sets the tone for the weeks ahead,” she says.

For Pranitaa, festivals are also a way of cleansing the soul. “They’re like energetic resets. The rituals, the colors, the prayers, the music—they create vibrations that dissolve stagnation and heaviness. Negativity doesn’t stand a chance in the presence of devotion, gratitude, and collective joy. It’s almost like the soul breathes lighter.”

With celebrations like Dussehra, Karva Chauth, Diwali, and Bhai Dooj lined up one after another, she believes this rhythm of festivities uplifts spirits. “Every festival carries a symbolic victory—light over darkness, good over evil, or love over separation. When you experience them in succession, you’re constantly reminded that no matter what challenges you face, hope and renewal always follow.”

In today’s fast-paced world, she feels festivals act as natural pauses. “They reconnect us with family, with traditions, and most importantly, with ourselves. Sharing laughter, decorating homes, or even just sitting together in prayer has such a calming effect—it’s like a collective exhale in the middle of life’s chaos.”

For her, the essence of these occasions lies in emotional and spiritual rejuvenation. “Rituals are the doorway, but the essence lies much deeper. Festivals invite us to cleanse our homes, yes, but also our inner space—our thoughts, our intentions. That’s true rejuvenation, when your soul feels lighter and aligned with the divine.”

On a personal level, Pranitaa makes it a point to radiate positivity. “Diwali diyas may glow for a night, but if our inner light shines, the spirit of the festival stays alive much longer.”

And as for shooting festive sequences on screen, she admits the joy is real. “It feels like we’re actually celebrating with our extended family, which is our audience. The colors, the rituals, the joy—it’s very real. And I think viewers connect because, just like them, we’re also feeling that warmth and excitement.”
