Neelam Panchal roped in for Zee TV’s Lajwanti

The team of Lajwanti, the upcoming Zee TV show produced by Ila Bedi Dutta’s Trilogy Media has returned after a back-bending schedule of over a month in Punjab. With the shoot kick-starting in the amazing never-seen-before set erected in Filmcity, Mumbai, there have been few new additions in the cast. As reported earlier by us, popular face Sid Makkar and newbie Ankita Sharma will be playing the lead roles in this show. We now hear that seasoned actress Neelam Panchal of Humari Devrani fame will be playing an interesting character in it. As per a reliable source, “Neelam will play the role of the male protagonist’s ‘chachi’. The lady would be a fashionista, and would always crib and cry about her mediocre state of living. She will have a negative role to play, and will be a very important character in terms of storytelling.” We tried calling Neelam, but she remained unavailable. Neelam who did Ruk Jaana Nahin after her popular stint in Humari Devrani was last seen in Star Plus’ Veera. For Neelam, Lajwanti will be a welcome change as this will be the first time she will be associated with Zee TV. We hear that Neelam has started shooting for the show.
