Neil Bhatt approached for the role of Laxman in Zee TV's Ramayan

Zee TV’s next big launch, Ramayan has raised quite a lot of curiosity especially because it is slated to revive the trend of mythological shows being aired in the morning slot over weekends. And the intensive search for the new Ram, Laxman and Sita has increased the expectations amongst the common man.

Tellychakkar.com has already reported that seasoned actor Shikha Swaroop will be making a comeback in the role of Kaikeyi in this Moti Sagar Productions show. We had also written that Neha Sargam holds a high chance of bagging the role of Sita. And when it comes to Ram, many names like Gagan Malik, Avinash Sachdev, Aamir Dalvi, amongst others, are being touted. Tellychakkar.com had also given an update about Siddharth Arora and Dheeraj Dhoopar being options for essaying the role of Laxman. We now hear that Neil Bhatt, who was last seen in Gulaal, has also been approached for the role of Lakshman. Ramayan will launch on August 12 (2012) and will take the 11am slot every Sunday. When contacted, Neil said, “Yes, I have auditioned for the role of Laxman. But I know nothing beyond that”. We also hear that Divyanka Tripathi was also offered the role of Sita and she was close to taking it up. However, she had to decline the offer as she was not ready to shoot in Baroda. Let’s see who bags the roles of Ram, Sita and Laxman in Zee’s next.
