'Nigam brothers' Siddharth and Abhishek unite for Hero - Gayab Mode On

Read on for deets regarding the latest interview on the 'Nigam Brothers' - Abhishek and Siddharth as they unite for Abhishek's ongoing show Hero - Gayab Mode On.

MUMBAI: Brothers Abhishek and Siddharth Nigam are excited about working together as reportedly, Siddharth will soon join Abhishek on his TV show, Hero - Gayab Mode On.

In a tete-e-tete, the two talk about the strong bond they share and working together. They also go down memory lane, recount their fights as kids and reveal who was more popular among the girls.

On being asked about the driving factor behind him taking up the role, Siddharth informed, "I have a cameo in the show and so far, I have only done lead shows on TV, but I always wanted to be in the same frame on screen as my brother and so I immediately said yes to the show. We have acted together in the show Chandra Nandini too, but ussmein woh mazaa nahi aaya tha. I am only doing this show for Abhishek.", to which Abhishek added, " We both are thrilled to be working together. It has been our dream to be in one frame.".

Talking about their playful childhood, Abhishek revealed, "We both are thrilled to be working together. It has been our dream to be in one frame.", while Siddharth added, "Sab bhaiyon ka jaisa relationship hota hai - ladai, jhagda, maar-peet, waisa hi humara bhi tha. We both used to fight a lot as kids. But after our dad passed away, Abhishek has been like my father. Even though he is only four years older than me, he has taken care of me like my father. Our bond is slightly different because of this. But unfortunately, both of us have not spent much time with our dad. I have known my father through whatever memories Abhishek has of him. Since I was young when my dad passed away, I don’t have any memories of him. Abhishek would tell me how our dad was a down-to-earth, kind and humble man.".

Abhishek exaggerated, "We have been each other’s support system while growing up. I wanted to be like a father to him, but I don’t know how far I have succeeded. Of course, maara toh hai maine usse during our fights but the best part about our fights was that we would be talking to each other within two hours. We are each other’s best friends. But yes, since I was more into studies, I rarely got beaten up by my mother. Siddharth, on the other hand, has definitely got thrashed by mom. But haan kabhi kabhi usko bachane ke chakkar mein mujhe zaroor dant pad jaati thi.".

Revealing about Siddharth's seniority in this field, Sid expressed, "Since I was in this field, I did guide my brother on how to go about things. But I have never given too many auditions like Abhishek. He wanted to learn first. We both compliment each other a lot and hum dono ek dusre ki beizzati bhi kar dete hain and it has happened so many times that he disagrees with my criticism. Since he is a lawyer by profession first, he is good at defending himself. He, in fact, teases me that I am his senior in this industry.".

Abhishek added. "Siddharth is far more experienced than me in this field. The way he has polished himself is inspiring. For my role in Hero, too, I took Siddharth’s help to learn a few gymnastic moves. I also discuss work with him. We share scripts with each other.".

Talking about their school days, Siddharth reminisced, "We were in a co-ed school. Although I might appear as a charmer now, par mujhe school mein koi dekhta bhi nahi tha. All the girls used to be friends with my brother because of his chocolate-boy looks. But now I am a charmer and he has to work hard to be one. (laughs our loud). Abhishek added, "I got female attention in school more because I was into dancing. Since Siddharth was into gymnastics, he only had male friends. Now scene ulta ho gaya and he is surrounded by girls. I tease him that mera saara charm ab tere andar aa gaya hai.".

On who's being mom’s favourite ‘beta’?, Siddharth was quoted saying, "We fight a lot over this question. Whenever there is an argument, I tell my mother that, ‘Mom, aap dada (big brother) se zyada pyaar karti hai’. Just like any other mother, she is always defending herself that she loves us both equally.", to which Abhishek added, "Siddharth jhoot bol raha hai, actually mom loves him more. Our mother gets really filmy when we ask her this. She will say filmy dialogues that ‘you are asking me to choose between two hands, eyes and legs.’.".
