MUMBAI: &TV show Gharwali Pedwali will witness a major change in the upcoming episodes of the show as Niharika Roy has quit the show due to ill health. Seerat Kapoor who has been a part of shows like Imlie and Rabb Se Hai Dua among others will be seen replacing Roy in the show.
TellyChakkar.com got in touch with Niharika Roy and asked her about her decision to quit Gharwali Pedwali, her health and more.
Niharika exclusively told us, "I had to quit the show due to health reasons. I wasn’t able to cope, and my doctors advised that continuing under work pressure could worsen my condition. I tried my best to manage, but I ended up exerting my body even more. If I shot for one day, I wouldn’t be in a condition to shoot for the next two. It kept getting worse day by day."

She further added, “My previous show was on-air for almost three years, and soon after that, bagging a lead role in another show meant being on my toes constantly. When I signed the show, my doctor had already cautioned me against it. I informed the producer as well, but there was a bit of reluctance, so I decided to give it a try. I shot for nearly a month, but while shooting, I could feel my body giving up. By October, my health had deteriorated completely. There were times when I even fainted. People literally had to hold me up and help me stand in front of the camera. Eventually, my loved ones and doctors firmly advised me to prioritize my health, as I simply couldn’t take the work stress anymore. That’s when I made the difficult decision to step away from the show.”
She concluded, “Seerat Kapoor will now be seen replacing the character I played. I know her personally, and she was eager to take on a positive role. I’m glad she got this opportunity, and I genuinely wish her and the entire team all the very best.”
