MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television's Mere Dad Ki Dulhan that stars Varun Badola, Shweta Tiwari, and Anjali Tatrari in the lead roles is currently the most popular fiction show on the small screen. The show is much loved for the chalk and cheese chemistry between Amber Sharma and Guneet Sikka and the major father-daughter goals that Amber and Niya have put forth in front of the audience.

As seen in the show, Niya, played by Anjali Tatrari, sets an excellent example for the youth by being a responsible daughter, who is just as much concerned of her father and his needs. She has quashed the stereotypes and is extremely supportive towards her singe father's love life and found a Dulhan for him. She understood the fact her father also needs a partner and so she played the matchmaker to find his suitable bride. She wanted to give her father the happiness he deserves, so she played cupid in bringing Amber and Guneet together.

Speaking about Niya's progressive move, Anjali shares, "Niya's character is very understanding and caring and really wants to see her dad settled in his life. Therefore, she stepped forward and found a perfect partner for him despite all odds."

Adding further, she said, “I feel that Niya is the poster child for today's generation as she is so responsible,empowered, empathetic and understanding at such a young age. She's giving out the strong message to the youth, that they should also be considerate and responsible for their parent's feelings and be supportive to them."
