No more television for me: Arjun Punj

Arjun Punj, who created waves in Sanjeevani as Dr Aman, has suddenly vanished from television. His last stint was in Saathi Re, where he survived for three months. We called up this lad to know why he has been keeping a low profile these days. “I had been keeping low profile as I don’t want to be loud before finalizing matters. After entering films, I don’t think I’ll be seen in television anymore,” says Arjun.

He has done a few projects like Sanjeevani, Woh Rehne Waali Mehlo Ki and Saathi Re . “I always dreamed of becoming a film star. When I came to Mumbai from Delhi, there was no one to guide me. I was struggling for films and television happened. I thought rather than wasting time, why not pick some good ventures in TV. Fortunately, all the three projects were hits. I give all my credit to television as it gave me recognition and helped me in my filmi career,” he explains. He is doing Kumar Mangat’s film called 123. “We all are new comers and eagerly waiting for it to release. Beside that, I have bagged two main lead big banner movies. I can only reveal the details by the end of this year. I’ll always play the lead in movies,” he quips. Well, let’s see what the future has in store for Arjun. Till now his films haven’t done well at the box office so we wish him luck.
