This will come as a shocker for all fans of the handsome Shaleen Malhotra who have been waiting for his comeback.
Shaleen, who had been roped in for Balaji Telefilms’ next on Star Plus is no more part of the show.
Shocker isn’t it?
The daily tentatively titled Pardes Mein Hai Meraa Dil is supposedly inspired from the blockbuster movie Pardes. Shaleen, Drashti Dhami and Laksh Lalwani had been roped in to recreate Shah Rukh Khan, Mahima Chaudhary and Apurva Agnihotri’s role.
The team had recently done a mock shoot with the actors. But with few creative issues cropping, Shaleen has been unceremoniously dropped and a new face has been signed to play the strong character.
Any guesses who will step into Shaleen’s shoes?
None other than the suave and sexy Arjun Bijlani.
Shared a source, “Shaleen is definitely a dedicated and talented actor. But with Arjun already gaining prominence in the Balaji camp thanks to the success of Naagin, the head honchos in the production have decided to get him in place of Shaleen. It came as a shocking development for us too. Shaleen had even done a mock shoot with Drashti and it had come out wonderfully well. Lets see how things work out with Arjun. ”
As viewers would know, Arjun is currently impressing the world with his dance moves in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. The second season of Naagin will roll out in October and unfortunately he would not be a part of it. With him becoming a favourite among masses, the makers seem to cash on his popularity for their upcoming show.
The dashing actor Shaleen has been missed by fans after his super successful debut venture Arjun went off air. Although viewers were treated to his charm in recent shows like Code Red Talaash, O Gujariya and Yeh Hai Aashiqui, this would have been a big break for him.
We tried reaching the actors but could not connect with them.
Our efforts to reach producer Ekta Kapoor also remained futile.
We wish both the actors great success.
So it's time to see how the new jodi of Arjun-Drashti will create magic.
