MUMBAI : The dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa has been entertaining Indian audiences since 2006 and has influenced many up-and-coming dancers to compete and win. In the latest episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, Bollywood actresses Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi graced the show to promote their upcoming film, Double XL. Also, the contestants were divided into two teams led by Karan Johar and Madhuri Dixit respectively. Sonakshi Sinha joined Madhuri Dixit’s team, whereas Huma Qureshi joined Karan Johar’s team. Another thing that happened in the show was that Niti Taylor was subject to a big prank. After the prank, fans of Niti Taylor slammed the makers of the show.
Niti Taylor was almost reduced to tears when the prank was played on her. It so happened that actress Huma Qureshi, in the pretence of a prank, asked Madhuri Dixit to change the contestant jodi sitting on the Golden Chair if they wanted. Niti Taylor and Akash Thapa were shocked by the same. Madhuri Dixit also joined Huma and took the opinions of her teammates, Rubina Dilaik and Amruta Khanvilkar.
Nia Sharma asked Niti to fight for the chair. But Rubina and Amruta said that Niti didn't deserve to get the Golden Chair. Madhuri then asked Niti Taylor and Akash Thapa to get down from the golden chair. Niti was not happy on hearing this but she and Akash got up from the golden chair.
Huma Qureshi then apologises, and so does Sonakshi Sinha, saying that they are feeling bad for her. Niti is on the verge of crying, when Huma finally shares that it was a prank. Amruta and Rubina rush to hug Niti, who starts shedding tears. Fans were not appreciative of the prank at all and slammed the channel, makers, and the contestants.
The latest season of the show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 has been running since September this year and is being judged by Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit, and Nora Fatehi. It is streamed online on Voot.
