Shivin Narang, the cute looking Delhi model who plays the grown-up Ranvijay in Star Plus’ show on sibling bonding produced by Beyond Dreams Productions, Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera does not have a real sister. “We are an extended family of brothers, and have only a much younger cousin sister who lives far away.”
“Since I am the only child of my parents, I did not know what real sibling love is all about. So it took some time for me to understand the brother-sister equation. But here Ranvijay’s life revolves around Veera (Digangana Suryavanshi). He basically does everything for her.”
Shivin adds, “It was quite easy to play the brother part with Digangana as she personally calls me Veerji (elder brother). We really did not need to work on the bond; it just happened naturally as it does with real siblings. Since I hail from Delhi and Digangana is a Mumbaikar, she helps me to understand what makes the maximum city tick, while I help her to get the north cultural stuff.”
Coming to the sibling bonding in real life, he says, “Times have changed, and brothers however protective or conservative they may be, no longer want their sisters to be sitting at home. They rather encourage them to live their dreams. It is the same with Ranvjiay, as he let Veera to go to Delhi to study when she was quite young.”
In closing the actor avers, “Playing Ranvijay has changed my image. Initially, I was called a heartthrob when I was doing my earlier show on Channel V, Suvreen Guggal – Topper of The Year. Today most girls call me Veerji.”
Shivin, this also shows you have graduated as an actor!! Three cheers.
