Playing a vamp is difficult and challenging: Shaadi Mubarak actress Barkha Sengupta aka Nandini

I am really curious to find out whether I like playing the vamp or not as I have played only positive roles earlier so for me to break the whole profile and get into the stylish, negative character is not easy for me, says Barkha

MUMBAI: Barkha Sengupta has been very active as an artist.

She has played an array of roles on television and she is a charm to watch! Barkha was last seen in Paramavtar Shree Krishna and is currently seen in Star Plus’ Shaadi Mubarak in a very glamorous role as a vamp. Barkha plays the role of Nandini in the show and she is a visual delight as she brings in a dramatic twist to the show.

In an exclusive conversation with Barkha, she mentioned how this is the first time she is playing a vamp and her experience shooting for a character which is in a different light.

Barkha said, “This is the second time I am working with Shashi Sumeet Productions and it is a great place to work. I have played negative characters earlier but have never enacted a vamp. This is the first time I play an out and out antagonist. I was really apprehensive about the same but Shashi convinced me for the same. So I am not sure how I am liking it. I am really curious to find out whether I like playing the vamp or not as I have played only positive roles earlier so for me to break the whole profile and get into the stylish, negative character is not easy for me but I am trying and looks like people are liking it as so far I have got not complains from the creative team or the production house!”

In a conversation with her earlier, Barkha had mentioned that she has had a great time shooting with Manav Gohil and Rati Pandey and that they are a fun trio. She said, “Barkha said, “I have known Manav for many years now. Indraneil and Manav played cricket together and I have known him before I even got married. He is funny, jovial and very sincere towards his work as an actor which is great. As for Rati, I am working with her for the first time. I have known of her and have also met her a few times socially and I think she is a very sweet person.”
