Pooja Kanwal Mehtani is a proud mother now

Pooja Kanwal Mehtani, who grabbed limelight with Sony Entertainment Television’s Palampur Express, is a proud mama now!! Pooja is married to Avinash Mehtani, a jeweller by profession. Yes, you heard it right. Pooja delivered a baby girl on 19 October (2012). We hear that she had a C-section, and is home now. Pooja is presently at her mother Anita Kanwal’s (actress) place and will be there till Diwali. Tellychakkar.com contacted Pooja Kanwal who said, “Yes, we are delighted with Avika, our baby girl coming into our life. I am trying to adjust to the new schedule, and my mother is helping me out. My in-laws and husband are also gung-ho about the fact of welcoming the kid. Recently, my sister-in-law too had a baby boy; so with Avika moving in there, the house will turn into a baby house (smiles).” Readers will be amazed to know that Pooja was actually pregnant (in her second trimester) when she shot for a cameo in Colors’ Na Bole Hum Na Maine Kuch Kaha. Talking about this, Pooja said, “Yes, I was in the family way then. However, I was needed only for a month’s cameo and that was the reason why I took that role.” Pooja told us, “I would want to get back to television. But as of now, my mother and I are on a break from work.” We wish the Pooja and her family all the very best.
