Ask any actor what is the toughest part of any shooting schedule and promptly you will hear hi/her answer-it’s the night shift. And further if you add ill-health to the mix, it’s more of a misery.
Well this is exactly the condition of Preet Mulani, who plays Sangeeta - the vamp in Zee TV’s hit show Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke (Shakuntalam Telefilms).
The poor thing is down with a bout of viral flu. “I have fever and cold but yet have to go for shoots. Right now, we are shooting the dahi handi sequence that is being shot at night.”
So tough is the shooting schedule that poor Preet does not have time to even visit her family doctor.“We had to call a GP (general practitioner) on the set who prescribed me some medicines,” the actress informs.
“Having said that, I have no issues for I love my work and know that this is how the TV industry operates,” she adds.
So how do you keep the smile on? “Well, I am lucky that I have always had to effectively mask my real feelings. I would be smiling even if I was being wheeled into the operating theatre,” she observes.
Preet is however hopeful that the after the dahi handi sequence being canned, she will get the much required off. This would help her to recuperate in quick time.
