Preeti Chaudhary to play a politician in Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum

Preeti Chaudhary
Of late Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum has been roping in a lot of known faces. And the latest to join this project is Preeti Chaudhary. Preeti has been a favourite of Shashi Sumeet Mittal Production Pvt. Ltd. as is evident with the fact that they had also roped her as the lead in Colors’ Kairi. The actress is happy about getting back to a Shashi Sumeet project again as she avers, “It’s always nice to get back to Shashi Mam and Sumeet Sir’s show. I feel lucky to have got a second chance to work with them.” In this particular show Preeti will be seen as a politician. “Yes, I play a politician who comes down to Pushkar, Rajasthan from Delhi. This is when she bumps into Sandhya (Deepika Singh) the aspiring IPS officer and the story progresses heron. This character has different shades to it and the viewers will enjoy watching it.” Talking about her look, Preeti says, “I have a very different look. In fact at the moment we are working on my haircut. They are about to give a total makeover.” So is this a permanent character? “Well I am not too sure about that. At the moment I have been signed in for six months but this can get extended,” admits the lady. We had also reported about this pretty looking girl playing an important role in Fireworks’ upcoming project. So, what happened to that project? “I have no idea about it. The team did not get back to me and that’s when Diya Aur Baati Hum happened,” Preeti quips. Neil Bhatt, Alan Kapoor, Minal Mogan and Maninee Mishra too will be a part of the upcoming track of the show. Keep reading this space for more!
