Premature wrap-up changes Bayttaab's ending

Balaji's three-month-old show Bayttaab Dil Ki Tamanna Hai failed to help Sony get good TRP's and hence is wrapping up on February 26. But the show will have a happy burial. The show which was said to be inspired from the infamous Shiney Ahuja rape case will get a different and happy ending because it's winding up sooner than expected. Initially it was to have Kunal (Aman Verma) raping his maid-turned-wife Shamoli (Sumana Das) after she refuses to accept him as her husband. But the show which failed to generate interest amongst viewers after its launch had received the 'perform or perish' ultimatum. There were a few new tracks introduced in the show, but even then things didn't improve. A source informs, "It's true that Bayttaab Dil Ki Tamanna Hai is ending happily, and it's not ending as it was planned. The original story had Shamoli's dreams getting shattered and her employer Kunal Mehra raping her. The rape track was the high point of the show which was then to be followed by a lot of media attention. With Shamoli failing to get justice with Kunal escaping free, Shamoli would have then left Mumbai along with her siblings. She would then return as a lawyer to help others who have gone through hell like her. But now nothing of the sort is happening now as the show is being pulled off-air. It's getting a very quick and hush-hush happy ending." The show had Veeru (Karan Kundra) and Shamoli loving each other, but with Shamoli getting married to Kunal for her family's sake. After the marriage, Veeru had left the country only to return as a rich and powerful man. It will now have a one year leap in the coming episodes and after the leap, Veeru will return as a rich, well-known and a powerful lawyer. He would have also married Shamoli's elder sister Kanchan (Priyamvada Kant) and both will be seen as a happy couple. Even Shamoli will start loving Kunal. Sumana says, "Bayttaab will have a very happy ending like other shows. Veeru will marry my elder sister Kanchan and even I will be happy with Kunal. We are shooting for the last episodes and it will start coming on-air next week."
