MUMBAI : Sayali Salunkhe is a well - known actress of television and she has a good fan following.

She is known for her roles in projects like Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai, Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si and Spy Bahu etc.

These days she is making headlines as she would be seen as a lead in the serial Sony Tv  upcoming show Pukaar - Dil Se Dil Tak' which will be bankrolled by LSD productions.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actress and asked her how did sshe bag the role and how she handles the criticism on the pairing with Abhishek Nigam.

How did you bag the role for Pukaar - Dil se Dil Tak ?

The moment Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si got over I thought I would go for a vacation and come since I am not that kind of a person who goes for holidays but my tickets were booked and it was that time when I got a call from the production house saying that you have been short- listed and I need to come down to meet the team, I said I need time. But then the vacation thing didn't happen and I am so happy I signed this show and I don't regret doing the show as every few people get a show so soon and am luckily to get it back to back and hopefully through this show they would get to see a new Sayali Salunkhe.

Tell us something about your role?

Vedika is a modern-day lawyer and somewhere she has made her name for herself. Vedika is strong, independent and she loves her family and she tries her best to give justice to the needy ones. There is one case she couldn't solve and that was her childhood and she has no memories of it and she doesn't remember anything. So the show is all about if Vedika will be able to hear the 'Pukar' of her childhood and reach her family and will her memories come back and when she comes to know about her parents what would be a relation with her forester parents and there is all elements in this serial and there is a love triangle.

People at times judge co- actors because of the age difference since Abhishek and you have an age gap what do you have say about it?

I think then our show has changed it as Koel is the tallest but in age she is the youngest. Koel is taller than Abhishek and he is elder to both of us so one cannot judge on these parameters and we want to show reality and nothing has to do with the height and all this is what we want to break the stereotype thing and I have heard that the casting is weird so that my makers said we need to break this thinking and we wanted to something different so that we connect with the audience.  

Well, there is no doubt that fans are super excited to see Sayali Salunkhe in a new role in the show.
