Punpunwali is the eldest bahu of the Sinha house and she has problems with a few members of the family. Along with her father-in-law Siddheshwar and husband Akhilesh she had hatched a plan of killing Bindiya, the main protagonist of the show who was forcibly married to Vinay. Bindiya, along with her parents and her brother-in-law Akhilesh had gone on a pilgrimage where the latter was supposed to bump her off. He tried to kill her thrice, but in vain and he also realized in the process that he was wrong and that Bindiya is a good girl. Akhilesh returned home a changed man, which naturally upset Punpunwali. He even tried to convince her that she should accept Bindiya whole heartedly. Now the wicked wife is not at all happy and tries to hang herself. Her father-in-law then steps in and assures her that he would support her in throwing Bindiya out of the house. Says Smita, “Yes, I will turn 10 times more aggressive than what I am now. My husband has turned all good and I am regretting why I sent him on the pilgrimage. Soon, there will be a new twist coming in. This time, I will ensure things turn uglier in the Sinha household.”
