She shared, “When the audience sees you for a long time in a particular role, they feel that you are very good in a particular role but I always wanted to give variations to my work. As an actor, I should play different roles and characters so when I was approached for the negative character I wondered if I would be able to justify it or not.”

Madirakshi further added, “I was scared that people would accept me or not. Doing a daily soap when you move from a positive to a negative role gradually does not look as bad as going from a Goddess to being an antagonist. It becomes dicey but I am fortunate enough that the audience really liked my work and are showering me with so much love and affection.”

As Madirakshi got to play a different role, she mentioned, “I had a lot of fun when we had to shoot sequences which involved me murdering two to three people with a gun in my hand. But frankly speaking I am glad to get this opportunity as it has opened doors for me to which will get me opportunities not only in mythological roles but also in different fictional roles and genres involving kitchen politics.”
