MUMBAI: As a part of all the exciting new content that Zee TV is offering its viewers during this festive month, the channel recently introduced a fiction show- Apna Time Bhi Aayega. The show follows the inspiring narrative of Rani,  a young daughter of a head staff in an affluent family of Jaipur, who refuses to be tied down by her humble roots. The show will see her breaking free from the shackles of her background as she chooses to carve her own destiny and reach out for her ambitious goals. The family drama debunks the deep-rooted class system and questions its unwritten rulebook of ‘aukaat’ in our society, which almost curtails the chances of the lower strata in taking charge of their destiny and rising above their means.

Apna Time Bhi Aayega has been keeping its viewers entertained with several unpredictable twists and turns as Rani strives to make it big in life only to be once again made to realize her ‘aukaat' in society by Maharani Rajeshwari (Tannaz Irani). While actor Anushka Sen was originally signed on to play the character of Rani, the actress has been unwell of late and thus, had to opt out from the show.

Popular television actress Megha Ray, who was earlier a part of Zee TV’s Dil Yeh Ziddi Hai, will now step into the shoes of Anushka Sen as Rani.

Ecstatic to join the show as the female lead of Apna Time Bhi Aayega, Megha Ray revealed, “I am extremely excited about joining the show as I haven't really explored roles of this kind. Taking over a character like Rani comes with a fair share of responsibilities and of course, the pressure to live up to the image of the character built by the previous actor. However, after understanding my character as well as the dynamics she shares with various other characters, I believe there is a sense of freshness that I could bring to this role. Rani is quite an exciting character to play and I hope to be able to bring out her likeable persona and spirited outlook towards life. I am looking forward to my new avatar and I do hope the fans of Apna Time Bhi Aayega will like and accept me as their new Rani."

While, we can’t wait to see Megha as the new Rani, we saw recently how Rani passed her exam with good numbers and she believed that Rajeshwari would give her a good job. However, Maharani Rajeshwari has other plans for Rani and offers her Ramadheer’s (Rani's father) place, hiring her as the head staff. While this upsets Rani terribly, she continues to try and convince Maharani Rajeshwari to give her another job. Will Rani be able to succeed in doing so?
