MUMBAI: There are a lot of celebrities who wanted to pursue a different career but destiny had the world of glamour destined for them. They often grab an opportunity to live their dream through their reel life. Many of these celebrities wanted to be a part and serve the Indian army.

Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya

Divyanka completed a course in mountaineering and achieved a gold medal in rifle shooting as well. She aspired to become an army officer.

Rannvijay Singha

Rannvijay’s family since five generations has served the Indian Army and he too was all set to join the army but he received a call from the makers of MTV Roadies.

Flora Saini

Popular for her role in Gandi Baat 2 and Stree apart from her stint in the south industry, Flora belonged the an army family and even pursued her education from an army school.

Mohit Raina

Mohit Raina is famous for his performance as Mahadev in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev and has been a part of quite some OTT projects as well. He has played a military officer too in many of his projects. Mohit had mentioned that he aspired to join the Indian Army and even appeared for the National Defence Academy exam, which is conducted by UPSC for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA.

Gufi Paintal

Late actor Gufi Paintal Walia (4 October 1944 – 5 June 2023) who also acted in the epic saga Mahabharat was initially trained as an engineer. He joined the Indian Army during the Sino-Indian War in 1962. (Also Read: Must-Read!
