There are many actors before her who have aced the role of a psychotic lover…but now it’s Ankita Sharma’s turn to make a splash on the small screen. Recently, Zee TV's Yeh Vaada Raha (Trishulla Productions) saw the entry of Ankita as Meher. The actress, seen playing a psycho who falls in love with Kartik (Ankush Arora), has been inspired by one particular character... Revealing it to Tellychakkar, she shared, “Before taking up the project, I referred to Urmila Matondkar’s Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya movie. I think nobody’s played a psychotic lover better than her. I took cues from her character as Meher is also an obsessed lover in Yeh Vada Raha.” When we asked her what made her take up the project, she said, “After playing a docile character in Lajwanti, I found Meher’s role interesting. I think it’s not always about the lead role. An actor should be hungry to play good roles.” We also wanted to find out if Ankita was an obsessed lover in real…the actress said, “I am an intense lover but not an obsessive one.” When asked if she will ever cross such boundaries, the actress was quick to say, “Not at all. I can’t go to that extreme level to hurt people.” We also asked her if she had met a crazy person in real, she said, “Luckily, I haven’t witnessed anyone being so crazy about me.” she ended.
