The show revolves around a pertinent issue plaguing modern society – dowry. The protagonist, Nandini, is a feisty, responsible modern yet humble and affectionate girl who knows her roots well but will not tolerate injustice just for the sake of following age old traditions blindly.

Her courage to stand up for what’s right without taking into consideration her own life and happiness is something that is commendable.
