Post her divorce with Chahal, rumors were rife that Dhanashree had asked for around ₹60 crore as alimony. Clarifying the speculation, Dhanashree denied the claims and revealed that the divorce was, in fact, mutual.
When Aditya asked her how long the process took, Dhanashree shared that it’s been almost a year since the separation. Reacting to this, Kubbra pointed out that her case got settled relatively quickly compared to others. To this, Dhanashree explained that the procedure was smooth because both parties agreed to a mutual divorce.

Dhanashree further added, "That's why when people say it's alimony, it's wrong. Just because I am not saying anything, people are making up stories. But that's fine because my mother has taught me to only give clarifications to people who really matter."
