Actor Riteish Deshmukh and filmmaker Sajid Khan, who will next be seen co-hosting "Yaaron Ki Baraat", say that the upcoming chat show will "celebrate friendship" of celebrities across various fields and will test them through various activities. The show was launched here on Tuesday.

Starting from the first week of October, "Yaaron Ki Baraat", which will be aired on Zee TV, will showcase celebrity friends testing their love and affection towards each other. The show will be on air for 10 weeks.

"The concept of this show is unique and different from other chat shows. In other talk shows you will mainly see a single host. Here we are two. We are best friends in real life too," Sajid, who has previously worked with Riteish in films like "Hey Babby", "Housefull" and "Humshakals", said at the launch.

"We will only call those celebrities on this show who are willing to come with their best friend from the industry. We are not talking about normal best friends. We will only invite celebrity best friends," he added.

Talking about his friendship with Sajid, Riteish said: "I became friends with Sajid in 2001 much before I joined this industry. When I first met him, Sajid was already a big name as his shows were a hit on TV. Since we met, we hit it off well and had a great time. Our friendship is meaningless. We are friends, because we like spending time with each other."

The "Masti" actor shared that people can expect "some naughty things and leg pulling" in the show.

"But it will all be in a good meaning. We are celebrating friendship and celebrating people, who have done big," he said.

Actress Parineeti Chopra and her close friend and ace tennis star Sania Mirza will be seen as the first guests on the show.

Asked whether they are planning to bring Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan on the show together, Sajid said: "I don't think there is any talk show in India where Salman and Shah Rukh are not invited. Everybody wants them to come. Even Sanjay Dutt is on our list. It would be good if people would wait and watch.

Sajid, who has previously hosted shows like "Ikke Pe Ikka", "Super Sale" and "Kehne Mein Kya Harz Hai", further said that in media, there is a feeling that all "friendships in the film industry are fake".

"People think that artists become friends only when they want to. But the reality is not so. When I was making 'Heyy Babyy' for a longer time I was struggling. But my friends never left me alone.

"Without listening to the script, Riteish said that whenever you will make a film, I will be a part of it. Same was with Fardeen Khan and Akshay Kumar. They did that because of friendship," he said.

The first episode of the show was shot on Tuesday.
