Romit Raj emerged as a household name after his power-packed performances in Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann and Maayka, both shows being aired on ZEE TV. After that he continued to prove his mettle in many other shows and currently, he is winning hearts as KD's (Ronit Roy) assistant, Varun, in Sony Entertainment Television's Adaalat (Contiloe Entertainment).
Now when we called up Romit to be a guest editor, he sounded pretty excited. He entered our office and greeted everyone with a wide smile. "How do I look? I have lost six kilos and intend to become more fit in the future," he shared with team Tellychakkar.
He also shared that he continues to be a part of Adaalat as he enjoys spending time with Ronit Roy, whom he lovingly calls, Dada.
"Dada and I sit and talk about work, acting and spirituality a lot. I am very spiritual by nature and have even gone for Vipassana sessions. I don’t drink or smoke. But I was a hardcore non-vegetarian. So, one day Dada told me to quit eating non-veg and enjoy the difference. So it has been a month since I have touched meat or any non-veg product and I feel a positive change within me," smiled the handsome actor.
Romit, you have a strong will power, we must say."At times my wife Tina orders chicken pizza and I don’t eat it. She feels bad for me but I tell her that I am on a mission," he laughed.
He went on talking about the importance of "growing" as an actor and having the right kind of "passion" and "approach". No wonder he is a smart actor, but he would also make an awesome journalist. He spontaneously called up his friends Jennifer Winget, Muskaan Mihani and the director of Adaalat, Pawan Kaul, and did stories on them.
"Oh, I had a blast. I loved it. I feel good," he said after completing his stories.
Finally, he bid adieu but not before signing on the autograph wall, Simply rocks! Extremely Loving…Romit Raj."
Romit, we were honoured to have you in the house!!!
