Ronit Roy celebrates

It looks like things are finally looking up for India's most successful television male star, Ronit Roy. Apparently, he has got past the accident he was involved in around Diwali and has been proved innocent. This apart, it was also a celebratory moment for him as his show Adaalat completed one year of being on air last week. Ronit, who plays the character of KD in the courtroom series, has been the driving force behind it. This is what he has to say on the show's first anniversary : "Looking forward to entertaining all of you with one more year of Adaalat and with some good feature films also." When Adaalat launched last year, Ronit was a bundle of nerves, as he is wont to be, before any release. "This is a big challenge for me," he had said. "I am coming on a channel which is lagging behind. And I want Adaalat to lift it further up in the rankings. " It looks like his riveting performance in Adaalat and the new shows on the channel have helped lift Sony Entertainment to the No 2 slot, something he wanted to be a part of. But what he was also a part of was the opening act of Colors' Golden Petal Awards which were filmed yesterday in Mumbai. Apparently, Roy did the honors with Uttaran's Gaurav Chopra. Says he: "It was fun doing it with my dear friend and amazing human being, the devilishly handsome Gaurav Chopra. Hope you guys like it." Well, it is over to the fans!!!!
