There have been shows which have been loved and there are actors who have been a part of the industry for a long time. They are highly loved and praised by the audience. Here are a few actresses who have crossed the 10 years mark in the television industry

MUMBAI: Indian television shows have been a part of the audience's daily lives for a long time now. Over time, the type and platform of content changed a lot but people still wish to go back to television dramas and call it their comfort zone.

There have been shows which have been loved and there are actors who have been a part of the industry for a long time. They are highly loved and praised by the audience. 

Here are a few actresses who have crossed the 10 years mark in the television industry: 

She made her television debut in the 1980s, with the TV series, Titliyan (Butterflies), directed by Nadira Babbar, followed by numerous series in the 90s, including Zee TV's Hasratein. She is best known for portraying Baa aka Godavari Labhshankar Thakkar a tough yet fair and loving matriarch in the household, in the hit serial Baa Bahoo Aur Baby. She has been a part of various TV shows and even films since. She was even seen in Anupamaa’s Namaste America recently. She is immensely loved and respected.

She has many television credits to her name, some of which are Ram Milaayi Jodi, Pavitra Rishta, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and Behenein. She has been a part of various films as well and is loved a lot by the audience. She was most recently seen in Sony SAB’s Pushpa Impossible.

She is best known for playing Prerna Sharma in Ekta Kapoor's soap opera Kasautii Zindagii Kay. In 2010, she participated in Bigg Boss and emerged as the winner, thus becoming the first female winner of the series. She has also worked in television shows like Parvarrish as Sweety, Begusarai as Bindiya and Mere Dad Ki Dulhan as Guneet Sikka. Currently, she is seen playing the titular lead Aparajita in Zee TV's Main Hoon Aparajita.

Hina Khan is known for playing Akshara in Star Plus's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. She even participated in the reality shows Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi  8 and Bigg Boss 11 and emerged as the runner-up in both.

Tina Datta is currently a contestant on Colors’ Bigg Boss 16 and has been playing quite well to stay in the game. She is known for her work in Hindi and Bengali television. She is known for portraying Ichcha in the popular drama series Uttaran. She has been part of various shows since and gained a lot of love from the audience.

She started her career as a child actor with the 1995 film Akele Hum Akele Tum and made her TV debut with Shaka Laka Boom Boom in 2002. She then portrayed Sneha Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Dr. Riddhima Gupta in Dill Mill Gayye. Jennifer established herself as one of the leading actresses on Indian television with her portrayal of Kumud Sundari Desai in Saraswatichandra, Maya Mehrotra in Beyhadh, and Zoya Siddiqui in Bepannah.

After her television debut in 1998 with Albela Sur Mela, Tanwar gained fame for her role as Parvati Agarwal in the soap opera, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. She went on to play Priya Kapoor, opposite Ram Kapoor, in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. She is highly loved and respected for her performances.

She is known for playing Gunjan in Miley Jab Hum Tum, Khushi in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? and Parvati in Rangrasiya. She is one of the most known and loved actresses.

She is one of the most popular Hindi television actresses having worked in several successful shows like Dill Mill Gayye, Geet, Madhubala, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, and Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka. In 2013, she participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 with choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan and became the winner.

Rupali had her career breakthrough, after venturing into television with her portrayal of medical intern Dr. Simran Chopra in Star Plus’s Sanjivani. She received further recognition with her portrayal of Monisha Sarabhai in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. She appeared in Baa Bahoo Aur Baby (2005) and Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi (2011), following which she took a sabbatical from acting. After a seven-year hiatus, she returned in 2020 with the soap opera Anupamaa.
