'Saarthi' high on hugs, kisses and beer!

Yet another serial on the telly reaches its 100 run mark in recent days! This time it is the afternoon soap with a mythological backdrop, Saarthi, that's had a century run on Star Plus. Producer Asit Modi celebrated the occasion in style. Quite a lot of people got up-close and personal --- and here's what our camera saw! The party at Mangi Ferra in suburban Juhu in Mumbai on Wednesday night was a low key affair, attended only by the cast and Star India content and communication creative head Shailja Kejriwal, made a token visit on behalf of the channel. The party was overflowing with booze, but something that was more readily available seemed to be the warm hugs and kisses that were magnanimously shared...with one and all! The dance floor was so crowded that the photographers had a tough time getting on with their job. Seen shaking their legs on the dance floor were Karan Grover and Adita Wahi, stars of the Saarthi cast. Missing in action was the guy who plays 'Krishna', as apparently he is afraid of getting slotted in mytho roles! Also absent from the festivities was 'Kunti' - veteran actress Neena Kulkarni, who stayed away for her own mysterious reasons! We also met the man Rajesh Joshi who was behind the melodramatic dialogues in Kyunki Saas... and now writes for Saarthi. Did you know that the director of Saarthi is Hussain's bro...Khullja Sim Sim...remember? He was spotted in a blue kurta-shirt with a drink in his hand...throughout the party! The one thing that was there for all to see was the uninhibited love that Delnaz and Rajiv Paul have for each other. They showed in public that they are made for each other! They were spotted holding hands and whispering sweet nothings into each others ears till the wee hours of the morning!
