Samir Soni: TV is not for me; I am committed to Parichay though

The promos were promising and audiences were looking forward to Parichay on Colors in early August this year. Everyone was curious about the character Kunal Chopra which was being essayed by Big Boss season 4 star Samir Soni. Now almost two months into the show, Tellychakkar.com decided to touch base with Samir and chat with him about how he felt about being on a fiction series on Indian TV. Denying rumours that he was unhappy with the way his character was developing on screen in Parichay, Samir said that he has got creative satisfaction playing Kunal Chopra. “I have been getting exceptionally good feedback for my role in Parichay,” he said. “However the TV working hours are exhausting. Apart from it I have recently got married and my wife (Neelam Kothari) misses me as I am shooting all the time. But, I am enjoying my work and hoping that the show does well in future.” When asked if he plans to stay on TV long he said, “It is great here but TV is not meant for people like me. It’s for young guys and girls. I am not sure if I’d be able to sustain it in the long run. However currently I am committed to Parichay.”
