Sangharsh gets its cast

TellyChakkar had earlier reported that Playtime Creations is coming up with a new show tentatively titled Sangharsh on Star Plus which is based on the university life in Banaras. However, the latest is that Aniruddh Dave who is currently seen in Phulwa will be seen playing the lead role in the show. A source says, “The story is based on the college life in Banaras and the main plot will revolve around the protagonist who aims to become someone big in life. Pooja Sharma who earlier played a cameo in Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajna will be seen as the female lead whereas Aniruddh Dave will play the male lead who will be a college leader in the show. Sushil Bounthiyal who is currently acting in Phulwa will be seen as a corrupt cop with comic elements. Zubin Dutt of Keshav Pandit will play the negative lead. Veteran actor Surendra Pal will be seen as the Vice Chancellor of the college and Gyan Prakash will play the female lead’s father in the show. Vijay Kumar who was last seen in Chand Chupa Badal Mein will also be a part of the show.” “The shooting of the show has already started in Film City where they have built a university set and the show most likely will go on air in October. However, the production house has just shot two episodes till now,” the source added. Surendra Pal confirmed the same and said, “Yes, we have started shooting for the show.” Sushil also confirmed and said, “Yes, I am playing the role of a negative cop and the backdrop of the show is Banaras city. The character I play is an important one.” Aniruddh remained unavailable. Other actors in the show as already reported are Arun Bakshi and Sachal Tyagi.
