It’s quite a common scene these days to see celebrities with brooms in hand cleaning roads. The Swachh Bharat (Clean India) campaign initiated by Prime Minister Modi has surely hit a positive note in the glam world. Bollywood and TV celebs have whole heartedly supported the mission and are all geared up to make India a clean country.
Recently, wrestler turned actor Sangram Singh, who is known for his ‘connected to roots’ nature, took up the task and swept off roads in Chandigarh. Sharing his experience on the same, the man shared, “I was nominated by popular RJs in the city and being a patriotic person, I took up the task and I must say it was a great experience. Chandigarh is one of the cleanest cities but if it needs to remain clean, such campaigns are important.”
“The drive will only work if everyone of us supports it wholeheartedly. Also the youngsters need to utilize the opportunity and work for the benefit of our country. Especially school children, who are the future of India, must be made the face of the campaign. It’s high time people take this campaign seriously,” quipped the man.
Sangram further spoke about how he nominated his friends to make a chain of this work. “I have nominated Suniel Shetty, Sonu Sood, Sushil Kumar, Yogeshwar Dutta, Sukhbir Badal, Deepender Hooda and I would also like to nominate each and every one of you to come forward and take a step towards the beautification of our country.”
Way to go Sangram!!
