Sanjay Gagnani organises super fun wedding for little brother!

MUMBAI: The last week was full of celebrations for actor Sanjay Gagnani and his family as his younger brother Harshil Gagnani tied the knot with Shivani Kalwani. It was an intimate affair with close family and friends. “Apart from my relatives, a few actor-friends of mine came from Mumbai to attend the wedding celebration of my brother. Zaan Khan, Nupur Sanon, Gulfam Hussain, Sapna Thakur, Priya Patidar, Sonia Kalra, celebrity Manager Rupesh Sonar and Sanchita Attawar made it to my brother's wedding ceremony. It was so much fun,” says the actor, whose brother got hitched on the 26th of February 2020.

The wedding was an elaborate affair with multiple functions. “We had a lot of functions. There were three days of functions. The first day, 24th February 2020, we had a ritual called Bhog Saheb. On the 25th morning, we had Haldi, where we applied Haldi to the bride and groom and danced a lot. We all were colour co-ordinated and wore yellow. The decor was also done up accordingly. This was followed by a pool party where we had a rain dance. The pool party was also colour coordinated and we all wore cool t-shirts, shorts and sunglasses. There was also a foam party. It was a super fun day, and in the evening, we had the sangeet and the ring ceremony. First, we had a small pooja and then the ring ceremony was done, followed by the sangeet, where everyone performed. It was a Bollywood-themed party and the decor was glossy and vibrant. Zaan, I and Prashant hosted the function. Everyone had a blast,” he says

He adds, “The next day, 26th, we left with the baarat and then the wedding took place in the afternoon. It was a Sikh wedding and after that, we had a reception in the evening where Prashant and Priya performed at the reception party as they both are amazing singers. There was a band from Mumbai which also performed.”

Well! that sounds like a super fun few days, right? It was all thanks to big brother Sanjay. “I want to say that it was the best chapter of my personal life because as an elder brother or as an elder family member, I fulfilled my responsibility. I wanted to see everyone happy and smiling and I had been worked day and night since a month to make sure the functions were perfect. This was my way of showing gratitude to god that irrespective of whatever name and fame I have achieved, I will always be there for my family,” he says.
